Qualifications:

  • Advanced Level of English in both verbal and written is must.
  • At least 5 years management experience.
  • Good understanding of the operation of sea freights (cost driver, operational challenges, market insight, etc.)

  • Experience in being the key contact for Marine carrier and Freight forwarders (procurement/ operational experience)

  • Having a good knowledge supply chain business, high level negotiation skills and strategic thinking
  • Problem solving and crisis management in critical daily operational issues
  • Systematic and strong ability to follow work discipline
  • Strong communication skills
  • Managing, analyzing and understanding; supplier/carrier performance management, continuous improvement and compliance
  • Experience in logistics contract management, performance reporting. Procurement experience is plus
  • Able to work in flexible working hours and to travel for abroad business trips

ob Description:

  • Manage and develop carrier relations and performances.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with carriers in key priority services;
  • Closely collaborate with DHL Operation team to solve issues related to carriers
  • Enhance current carrier KPI indicators with the aim of increasing the service area;
  • Establish & run relevant weekly / monthly drumbeats with the carriers;
  • Monitor the carrier market to provide critical insights for customer and its operations
  • Source and manage carrier relationships in line with the needs of customer
  • Manage monthly carrier KPIs and take actions for improve their performance
  • Understanding customer requirements and translates this into initiatives for his/her business area
  • To coordinate with a number of different functions within all DHL divisions
  • Control of all carrier related matters within parameters of customer locations
  • Achievement of operational performance as defined by customer contract and KPIs
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement in carrier development and procurement
  • Build trusted relationships with service providers to drive supply chain success
  • Travel to customers and supplier sites for purposes of development, audit and project assignments
